We are an official partner of Eden: People+Planet (formerly Eden Reforestation Projects), which plants trees to improve biodiversity and livelihoods.
We currently divert £250 per 1,000 trees planted to support our free data, tools, and resources. Find out more about Circular Ecology's Scaling Carbon Reductions Initiative (SCRI).
Tree planting is our only product exposed to exchange rates (GBP to USD). The rates may therefore be updated if exchange rates move notably.
About Our Tree Planting
Tree planting has become a recognised ‘tool’ in the fight against climate change. While it’s far from a standalone solution, it can offer wider environmental and social benefits when done thoughtfully.
Our tree planting provides businesses and teams with the resources to contribute responsibly and impactfully to reforestation efforts worldwide. Every tree we plant symbolises our collective potential to restore the land we cherish.
Not only do trees improve local wildlife habitats and sequester carbon, but these tree planting initiatives contribute to a range of projects globally, improving livelihoods for local communities and targeting areas in developing countries that have been ravished by deforestation. Find out more about the benefits of tree planting here.
We at Circular Ecology are proud to be Forest-level partners of Eden: People+Planet. Through our partnership with Eden, we have planted over 750,000 trees – and we’re not stopping there…
We plan to plant over 1 million trees by the end of 2025.
We can’t do that without your help.
How it Works
- You purchase trees: Select the tree planting quantity that aligns with your needs and goals.
- Eden plants the trees: Our partner works with local communities around the world to plant trees in regions where they are needed the most.
- (Optional) Request a certificate: When purchasing large quantities of trees to plant (1,000+), you can contact us for a free digital Tree Planting Certificate to demonstrate your efforts.
- Scaling the impact: Through our Scaling Carbon Reductions Initiative (SCRI), we are diverting £250* per 1,000 trees planted towards improving free resources, tools and data that facilitate carbon emissions reductions around the globe.
*Currently, Tree Planting is the only product in our offering subject to exchange rates (GBP to USD). Therefore, the cost to plant trees may vary depending upon fluctuation in exchange rates. We strive to ensure transparency in pricing and update costs in GBP to reflect the most current exchange rates. This allows us to balance your investment with the real-world value of supporting global reforestation efforts.
We handle the complexities of exchange rates to keep the process straightforward for you. When purchasing trees, you can trust that your contribution is going where it matters most.
Project Highlight: Lamu County Restoration Project (in Collaboration with Kenya Forest Service)
This is just one example of the many inspiring regenerative projects these tree-planting initiatives contribute to:
The Lamu County Restoration Project (LCRP) is a transformative initiative to restore over 154,000 hectares of coastal ecosystems in Kenya. It combines conservation, restoration, and climate resilience. As partners of Eden: People+Planet, we support this critical work to expand mangrove reforestation efforts and include inland forest restoration, enhancing ecological functionality and community wellbeing.
Lamu County, home to Kenya’s largest continuous mangrove habitat, plays a key role in carbon sequestration and mitigating climate change. However, centuries of unsustainable harvesting, deforestation, and climate impacts have degraded these ecosystems, threatening livelihoods and biodiversity. Mangroves support 30,000 families and fisheries providing 70% of coastal incomes. Restoring Lamu’s forests, therefore, is essential for both environmental health and local economies.
Since 2020, Eden: People+Planet has made significant strides in Lamu. They have restored over 1,120 hectares of mangroves and pioneered innovative propagation methods. Not only that, but they have also provided fair-wage employment and health insurance for local communities. The project ensures long-term resilience for people and ecosystems, expanding into more degraded areas and incorporating new sustainability initiatives. Inland forests, crucial for wildlife corridors and water systems, are also a focus as agriculture and fisheries remain key to livelihoods in the region.
Through our partnership, with our focus being directed more toward mangrove restoration than other types of tree-planting initiatives, we aim to help address climate challenges and preserve the rich natural and cultural heritage of Lamu County and beyond.
