Organisational Carbon Footprinting:
From Measurement to Meaningful Action

Many organisations now have several years of carbon reporting behind them, yet still struggle to produce footprints that feel reliable enough to guide real progress. Boundaries are often unclear, activity data can be patchy, and results are sometimes difficult to interpret in a way that informs decisions.

This webinar, hosted by Jon Burrow (Head of Carbon Accounting) and Joe Rouse (Senior Consultant) of Circular Ecology, explores the steps that help organisations move beyond basic measurement and into reporting that supports more confident planning and meaningful action.

Key Topics Covered

  • Knowing your footprint: What a footprint really represents and what it does not tell you
  • Key reporting decisions: Organisational boundaries, operational control, and material Scope 3 categories
  • A practical approach to data: Spend based, activity based, and hybrid methods
  • Common challenges: How to improve reporting and data quality each year
  • Meaningful use of results: Identifying carbon hotspots and linking footprints to targets and reduction planning
