Carbon Estimating and Carbon Library Development

Carbon Data Services

Carbon estimating and carbon library development focuses on the production of robust, transparent and custom carbon databases to assist with the carbon quantification of a given list of materials, products components or activities. These are highly bespoke services designed around specific client requirements.

Aligning Cost and Carbon Estimating

Cost & Carbon Estimating is a novel approach which can accurately estimate and report carbon impacts across the whole lifecycle of complex infrastructure projects. This works by aligning appropriate carbon factors to existing cost estimating data hierarchies, to facilitate carbon estimates without the need to duplicate efforts or undertake additional reporting.

Circular Ecology can work in partnership with cost estimating software providers, offering bespoke, accurate and transparent carbon libraries and can support the integration of carbon libraries into any existing cost estimating software, to enable aligned cost & carbon estimating for clients.

Bespoke Carbon Library Development

A bespoke carbon library is a dataset of carbon factors produced specifically for an individual or group of organisations. The dataset provides them with carbon data for a given list of materials, products, components or activities of a standardised unit of measure. Datasets are developed within specifically agreed system boundaries and often aligned to standards such as PAS 2080 or RICS WLCA.

Circular Ecology is the host of one of the world’s most widely used carbon databases, the ICE (Inventory of Carbon and Energy) Database and have produced Bespoke Carbon Libraries for a number of high-profile infrastructure clients.
