Video and Resources: What is a Water Footprint?
Water security is a topic of rising importance. Each year it seems that drought, floods and weather events are becoming stronger and more extreme. This places global supply chains and nations at risk of water related problems. Too much or too little water can be equally detrimental and can bring entire supply chains to a halt.
So what can be done to mitigate against these risks?
Well, water footprinting is a tool that can help to analyse and expose water related risks in a supply chain. This could be a manufacturing supply chain, a food production supply chain or indeed any supply chain and in any sector.
Circular Ecology gave a webinar on 5th November about Water Footprinting. It was delivered by Dr Craig Jones and gave a visual introduction to water footpriting, what it is and how it can be used.
