The Types of Data We Collect:
Website Cookies
A cookie is a small file stored on your computer’s hard drive. The cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.
Overall, cookies help us provide you with a better website by enabling us to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not. A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us.
Cookies can be disabled in most web browsers if you prefer. This may prevent you from taking full advantage of the website.
Google Analytics
When someone visits our website we use a third-party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to monitor the number of visitors to the pages on our site. Google Analytics uses cookies to log website traffic. Google Analytics does not individually identify users. Refer to the Google Analytics article for more information.
Mailing Lists
We share information with our service providers/suppliers, such as IT services. Under these arrangements, Circular Ecology retains responsibility for your personal information.
We use a third-party provider, Zoho, to deliver email campaigns via our mailing lists. We maintain your personal information only if you disclose it to us, for example by completing your name and email address on a web form to subscribe to our newsletter or when downloading a resource. We use a double opt-in email subscription system where possible to ensure that subscribers (not bots) wish to hear from us.
Zoho gathers information on IP addresses. It also compiles statistics on email open rates and clicks using industry-standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our email. For more information, please see Zoho’s privacy notice.
You can unsubscribe to any of our emails at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails.
What We Do with the Information We Gather
Circular Ecology has never and will continue to never sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we are required by law to do so.
We use this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, in particular for the following reasons:
- Internal record keeping.
- We may use the information to improve our website, products and services.
- We may periodically send promotional emails about new products, news, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address you have provided.
- On occasion, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes. We may use the information to customise the website according to your interests.
Access to Your Personal Information
You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold. Email your request to our data protection officer at mail@circularecology.com
